You have abandoned me
into the world of my own heart
I am so afraid
I think I shall die
and all the while
you laugh

You caught me
when I was not looking
your bewildering grace flooded my heart
and my soul
and I forgot my name
"beloved"
you whispered

Sitting in yesterday
tommorow has vanished
and all that remains
is today
The potter has broken his wheel
and locked the doors
What strange music
now eminates
from his house

"Come outside"
I said
"and see the Sun"
but you were watching
the face of the moon
and did not hear me
"go away"
you said
"I still love you"

I fell beneath the earth
broken, misused, forgotten and misplaced
or so I thought
but through the waking moment of my dream
I felt your grace
your understanding
gently breathing life back into me
And with a certain willingness
that only comes from the returning dead
I am moved into your embrace
and the clarity of the moment
makes me whole once more
as we dance
and love

The sea must always balance itself
on the shore
and just like the ocean
we must be truth to each other
just as the morning star waits patiently
for the dawn
so too must we learn our own heartbeat
finding its sacred rhythm
dancing like some drunken God
casting newness all around
in some magnificent fit
of enraged beauty
In this way do we recognize
and learn
to remember
to love

what tender delight shines in the eyes
of those who know
what divine humor echos
through those who have walked before us
yesterday and the day before
did they pave the way for us
those who live today, promising
to coax the Earth to jump up and live again
we are woven together
inseperable, unbreakable
divinely inspired
to live life well

In this deep well of knowing
do I come to you
Give to me your flicker of light
so that I may rouse it to a roaring flame
Allow me to inspire you
to take you beyond even yourself
Look deep into my eyes
and know
that I am you

My breath is in all things
I am breathing now the very essence of me
How beautiful I am
How marvelous I am
I am all these things
I am none of these things
Here, in this quiet place
I find myself
Mockingbird
I rage at my impotence of spirit
I disembowel myself
upon the black and white tiles of eternity
I cast my lot
into the dark of the cosmic night
Here I am you hungry wolf
devour me, I am unclean
Through the weeping of my death
will I be made anew
Come to me dearest light
embrace me
for I am all that is, was and ever shall be
